I had a great stay at Rui & Elsa’s. Very friendly, and they even accommodated my request, so that I could leave my luggage at the place early. The apartment is placed in a perfect location in Alfama, it’s really beautiful and cute, however the kitchen is tiny, if you think about cooking much. But who would, if you can find great restaurants around. Only thing I’d advise is, if you’re a light sleeper, this place might not be for you, since in the morning, you’ll hear the voices and steps of people walking by the house.

Very easy check-in and out process. Perfect location for all main attractions and close to public transport too, if you don’t fancy walking.

Rui & Elsa's place is perfect for a short break or maybe even a longer stay. They were excellent hosts, provided detailed information of the location, how to get in etc and responded within minutes. The location is perfect with local cafes & restaurants on the doorstep & a supermarket just up the street, which also has a luggage storage (€5 per bag for 5 hours). The 28 tram passes at the top of the street with 2 stops to choose from (voz operario & vicente. I recommend Vicente stop outside the Copenhagen coffee house if you've got luggage!) the apartment itself was compact, but clean & tidy, with ample storage, a comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with hot water instantly and good pressure. Maybe needs a little tlc on some cupboard hinges that were a bit dropped but overall a great place to stay. Highly recommend :)
