A wonderful & peaceful location - you can feel the love! A relaxing hot tub and farm with some loving animals: horses, goats and chickens! Close to Bellingham but far enough to really unwind. Lots of great trails and hikes nearby with Baker and Whatcom Lake. Would visit again!

We highly recommend Michele and Don’s place. Well equipped, very very clean, and they were very responsive. Nice and rustic, hidden from the road by a line of trees. Within a few minutes of the Rome Store and the larger market at Nugents Corner. 15 minutes from downtown Bellingham.

The private guest house was exactly that - private and homey. My wife and I stayed to celebrate our anniversary in peace and quiet and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We truly felt like guests. Don greeted us shortly after arrival to offer a tour of the house and the amenities which among several things feature a hot tub and outdoor kitchen area with a grill. The hosts were on the property during our stay (in their main house), but we always had privacy. The hot tub has curtains and the outdoor kitchen area is removed from the main house and the guest house. The guest house has a full kitchen of its own with a quaint living room and a private back porch area that is fenced in (which was perfect for our dog) and well lit during the day and at night. There are a couple of friendly horses on the property, a goat with a personality, as well as some chickens. All of the animals were a delight and did not make noise that disturbed us. This is a gem that we hope to revisit soon!

Without a doubt, this is easily one of the top two best AirBnbs I’ve stayed at and makes a strong case to be the best. Well stocked kitchen as far as pots, pans, and utensils, the eggs are appreciated. Bed is comfortable, the hot tub is amazing, and it’s in a great spot as far as surroundings and proximity to the fun stuff in the area. Will definitely be looking to book again!!
