Lots of room for guests to spread out. Shower upstairs slow to heat up but we were patient. Easy access to highway, restaurants, etc. Bring your own pillow:)

Staying at Dunk Rock for a family reunion was great and special. No frills, but a solid New England feel and location. Kitchen worked for food prep, lots of gathering spaces and quirky home feel.

Diane was a great host. The place was clean and in a great location. I do not recommend coming in the summer months as there was no A/C (this is listed in the description) and no window units. She only had fans and an attic fan upstairs that drew in the air from outside. During the day it was hot but at night this helped cool it down. However, it was extremely humid which made it sticky and uncomfortable. Additionally the showers seemed to be on a system where it alternated hot and cold by volume. There were only about 5 minutes of warm water at a time then it went back to freezing. Those two things are why I took off stars. Diane was very responsive and answered all my questions.

Diane's house is one that includes multi-generational nostalgia of a family that is rooted in the culture of Guilford, CT; the surrounding Long Island Sound shoreline; New Haven County; and the rest of Connecticut. Truly it felt like going home to either of my grandparents homes that were located in Beacon Falls, CT. An authentic Guilford experience awaits you at Diane's house. The Guilford green and center of town is just a moment's drive, or even an easy bus ride away. Great restaurants and other food places for every meal. Bishop's Orchards has a market just across US Route 1 - Boston Post Rd from the house. The house had all the amenities required for a long-term, daily living experience. Sufficient space for a group of 10 people. I spent a few hours just sitting in the extra large gorgeous yard; with a blueberry patch right next to the back yard. I would certainly recommend this house 100% of a time.
