Our stay in Ricardo’s accommodation began with views from the road below looking up trying to spot our accommodation from 300 feet below.  Ricardo met us in the village and we followed him through the maze of winding streets to reach our accommodations. Upon arrival the most outstanding feature was the view over the valley below. Standing on the balcony looking straight down with an unupstructed view was nothing short of amazing. The rain from the previous week had turned the valley into a patchwork of brilliant green fields interspersed with cultivated plots and a gentle winding gravel road . The sunset was brilliant and the clear night had us sitting on the deck star gazing. A most wonderful experience! Each day we enjoyed the view as well as driving to the small surrounding cities. At one we could drive very close to the old fortress and were surprised to be joined by a large herd of sheep while walking around it! Our favorite day trip was to Cuenca!! Beautiful drive and old city!
