Alexandra was the consummate hostess from afar! Every question asked was answered, she wasn't high maintenance about asking guests to strip their own beds and clean up extensively before they left, she gave wonderful restaurant recommendations and answered questions as needed. The house was beautiful but more importantly, it was a HOME. Fun and interesting to be in yet comfortable and roomy enough for a group of adults to enjoy. I'd recommend it to anyone and want to thank Alexandra for allowing us into her fabulous domain.

This canal house rental is everything it appears to be and it's absolutely gorgeous! It's a 5 story home overlooking a peaceful and quiet spot on a canal with a private backyard garden. The home is filled with antiques and treasures showing a well traveled life and wide range of interests - which I think is notable as someone who shares a passion for travel. The home has AC in all of the bedrooms but doesn't have it in the main living spaces. We found that even on hot days in August it wasn't needed and that the bedrooms and thick walls provided enough cooling, but it is worth noting for anyone very sensitive as temps continue to rise - our temps there were 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The staircase is a spiral and old so you'll have to be committed to the steps. The host was lovely and she provided a lot of recommendations and was available to us. We also were able to drop our luggage early before check-in and go eat/explore which was so helpful.

Just outstanding. Alex’s place is lovely. She is always available and always quick to respond. This was my first AirBnB experience and I will do it again because of Alex.
