Dirty, mouldy, maintenance issues After cleaning + service fees, at $368 per night for four adults +1 child, we expected something different. Happy to have a roof over our heads and beds to sleep in, but negatives outweighed the positives. Here were the issues: Dirty. Wrappers on the floor, rugs looked like they had never been vacuumed, dead crickets in the bathroom light and under the chair in the bedroom. Hairs on the floor in the bathroom. Cigarette butts in the ash tray outside. Quilt in one room had some big dirty patches. Cobwebs in doorframes and general dirtiness on surfaces. Mouldy. The bathroom sink downpipe did not connect properly at a join, meaning water leaked into the bathroom cupboard and onto the floor. The resulted in mouldy spare toilet rolls, and a mouldy smell that pervaded through the house and into our clothes. Maintenance issues. Plumbing issues. Dishwasher + laundry tap not working Extra fees for fire wood (only source of heating) not detailed in listing.

Very peaceful and remote beach house. Good place for a quiet getaway. Kristian was very quick to reply to messages. However, the house could have been a bit cleaner. We wished the host could have changed the beddings before our stay as they were so dusty. We understand it is close to the nature that is why it tends to get dusty easily. For that reason, we think a more thorough cleaning and a bit more maintenance might help to create more delightful experience for future guests.
