This place is exactly as advertised. Great quality space off the grid. Super quiet. Highlight was proximity to National Park. Chris and Janna have anticipated your needs with a nice grill, fire pit, 2 internet options (in case one fails), flashlights (in case generator or gas problem). If you are not familiar with off the grid living, day one will be working through some issues -- getting the internet to work, using a generator, using gas lighting and using a gas franklin stove as your heat source. However, the instructions were great. By day 2, the setup was not even a thought. Marblemount is loosely called a town - 2 gas stations, 2 restaurants, and a hotel. Nothing else commercial. Uprivergrill and taproom was outstanding for meals. A grocery store is 30 minutes away so load up. Hotel is pretty old and would be a giant step down from Chris and Janna's place. We have been in NW for 2 weeks. We stayed in a lodge, a hotel, and this home. Great mix for us.

This was our family’s first vacation in the woods and Winedown cabin made it very memorable experience. The host (Janna) was communicative and very attentive to our feedback. From the design of the 2-bed A-frame to the thoughtful amenities provided by the host, everything we needed was available at this cabin. We plan to come back to this cabin over the next few years as we further explore the North Cascades Wilderness. Highly recommend renting this property for your vacation.

The most magical cabin in the woods, as close to heaven you can get. We had an incredible stay, thanks Chris and Janna!
