Nestled in front of a landscaped hill on the shores of Putiki Bay, this is one of four bright, white, Mediterranean-meets-Pacific styled cabins that enjoy stunning views over the ever-changing seascape. North-east facing, sunny, tranquil and private, each boatshed is complete with a bathroom, dedicated wooden deck, and access to a grassy shared community space. Ideal for a romantic getaway or relaxing holiday by the water's edge. Regardless of which boatshed you book, each cabin provides a queen-sized bed, a kitchenette with kettle and under bench fridge, a private bathroom, free wifi and a small outside deck with furniture. A grassy shared area is just outside the door where a large picnic table and chairs, along with loungers and BBQs, are ready for all guests to utilise. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for what we needed. The bed was super comfy and had really pretty bedding. We were only a walk to the bus stop which was a bit further than expected especially with suitcases on the pavement and the hill. But was super easy without them! The water was stunning to look out on. We loved it here and was a peaceful stay with day trips into Oneroa. I will definitely be returning.
Loved the little cabins. Really beautiful, peaceful spot. Short walk to the main road where you can catch a bus easily (they are very frequent), was also only a 15 minute walk to the shops at Ostend where there is a Woolworths supermarket.

The Boatsheds on the Bay are centrally located in Ostend, Waiheke Island and provide excellent accessibility to the rest of the island via nearby busses as well as restaurants, cafes, Countdown supermarket, retail shops, pharmacy, and Goldie Vineyard all within walking distance.
One dedicated parking space, per rental unit, is available free of charge as well as on-street parking. The property is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, as well as near to bus stops. Public transport to most of the island is available via bus with an ATHop card. Bike and e-bike hire, e-scooter hire, rental car, and private taxi are also popular options for transportation.

I am passionate about life, people, travel and our beautiful paradise island of Waiheke where I have lived for over 30 years. I have worked in local tourism and travel for over 20 years. We look forward to hosting you at our special part of the world very soon. We know you will be truly WOWED by our location and the boatshed studio apartments. We are here to help with any queries you may have so you can just chill out and enjoy our paradise island. I am a local amateur photographer, and the boatsheds display some of my local photographic images. Paul is a designer and furniture restorer who has been involved in both the interior and exterior design of the Boatsheds on the Bay. One of Paul’s other passions is to create unique handmade knives from pre-loved Sheffield steel knife blades and to carve the handles from recycled native woods, washed up on our local beaches. Paul sells these at the local Ostend Saturday market.
