Rosie’s Retreat was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway. Private and secluded feeling but still close to Berkley Springs. Very clean and comfortable.

Wonderful cabin. We spent a lot of quality time with our kids, connecting with nature, playing games, at the campfire and eating meals out on the deck. Beds are cozy and comfy. I instantly felt like I was at home even though it had only been a few moments spent in the cabin. Creek was low because of the time of year but we still were able to swim at the swimming hole a few minutes past the cabin.. we had a great time! Thank you

This was a kids paradise. Our 3 kids spent ever day they could out in the creek in the back yard looking for small fish and crawfish. They spent hours out there. Just past the house is a very small falls (no real danger of getting knocked down by the current) that empties into a small swimming hole - maybe 5 feet deep. Nice place to cool off when it's hot. Our kids were in heaven. Cabin is wonderfully comfortable. It is remote without forcing you to go without AC and a washing machine.

Had an amazing time relaxing. Sitting on the deck and being secluded was a bonus! Maybe could use a hot tub to make it a complete retreat.

This house is absolutely lovely and the location is magical, truly. The stream out back is everything you could hope for - frogs, fish, and butterflies everywhere, a cool and clean swimming hole for the kids to play in (mine spent almost the weekend in it!), and the porch is perfect for a morning cup of coffee and a book. We spent most of our time sitting outside and hanging in the stream and just enjoying nature. Berkeley Springs is a lovely little town - we went into town for coffe and shopping, and hit up the Farmer's Market in Sunday morning for local peaches and tomatoes, which are DELICIOUS. Definitely highly recommend going into Berkeley Springs while you're staying here. Inside, the house was very clean (though the side porch has a strong mildew odor that was hard to take - we ended up using the back sliding doors to go in and out of the house because the porch small was too strong). The house itself, however, smelled great - very clean and fresh. The linens were fresh and smelled good, the floor was spotless, the dishes were nice and clean, and the kitchen was STOCKED. I mean, we cooked every meal there and I did not want for anything. (Except cereal bowls - we could not find a single bowl for our morning cereal and ended up eating it out of mugs, lol.) The beds were comfortable and the tv worked well - a few issues with spotty internet, but we expected that. Lots of board games and puzzles, which got a lot of use from us, and a really nice big table to sit at and play. Some issues: no first aid kit - my daughter cut her finger and we had to drive 9 miles to the Food Lion just for band aids; the power went out on our second night after a storm, and there is no back up generator, so we ended up without power for almost 12 hours (and it went out again right before we checked out). I would really suggest to the hosts to invest in a backup generator. As a word of warning, Google maps actually doesn't map you to the correct house. We ended up pulling into someone else's driveway (on the left of the road) before we realized Google was wrong and the house was actually on the right. Make sure you read the directions that the hosts send - it is correct and Google is not! The hosts were very communicative and refunded us immediately for the night we spent without power, which I really appreciated. So highly recommend the hosts. All in all, we had a really beautiful stay and I would definitely recommend this house. I never expect an AirBnb to be perfect, but this was very close.
