I booked last minute on the same day. Abi replied promptly and kindly accepted. He is a very kind host and responds extremely quickly. The room, located in a traditional house, is spacious and clean. Situated in a quiet neighborhood of Ubud, it's just a few minutes walk from the bustling center. It’s a perfect location for exploring the surroundings on foot.

I loved my time at Abi's homestay. Abi was super helpful and responsive to all my needs. He helped organize laundry, weekly cleaning and motorbike rental at a fraction of the cost! My room was stunning and spotless, though the cleaning materials were a bit intense so my room always smelled subtly like bleach. My biggest complaint is that there is very little natural light due to the ornate wooden doors that lead outside. Though the room was spacious, the lack of sunlight made waking up in the mornings a bit tough for me and not as welcoming to hang out in. The bathroom is gorgeous however the hot water runs out when the bath is only a quarter full. I still took a shallow bath, but it wasn't quite as luxurious as I'd hoped. The shower floor is also loose pebbles so showering was a bit uncomfortable standing on rocks. Having a tea kettle in my room was a great plus! Overall, I loved my time here. At this price, you really can't beat it.

This was a lovely place to stay! Convenient location, very kind family atmosphere, beautiful sitting spot outside the room. The room itself is nice and big. I appreciate the shelf space and the pretty, decorative, traditional wooden carved door and windows.

I had a wonderful stay at Abi's place. His family is warm and welcoming and I felt very much at home. The room is surprisingly spacious, with a large bathroom, a walk-in closet, AC (essential) and a couch with a TV. The bed is super comfortable and the front porch/patio is perfect if you want to sit outside. They are building a substantial amount on the property so there is some construction to walk through when you enter the area, but it's not noisy and everyone is really friendly. The location was great as I was mostly going to The Yoga Barn while I was there, and I easily rented a motorbike from Abi for the days when I wanted to explore around and outside Ubud. I highly recommend this place and I hope to stay there again next time I'm in Ubud. :)
