In addition to shopping, dining, and beaches, the Newport area offers a wealth of activities, including: the Newport Art Museum; tours of Historic Mansions, churches, and Truro Synagogue; the International Tennis Hall of Fame; the Cliff Walk; the Newport Dinner Train; the Museum of Yachting; the historic Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center.

Kingston Station, on AMTRAK’s Northeast Corridor, is a 10 minute walk from the house. Trains connect daily to Providence & T.F. Green Airport. The service connects points between Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The station is also a stop on several RIPTA Bus Lines. The Block Island Ferry is 12 miles away. The Richmond Airport, a small private airport, is only 5 miles away.
