Locate in SE Zone 2, easy access to the city centre; free street parking; 3 minutes to the bus stops; 10 minutes to the local stations on foot. Flexible to keep your luggage beyond regular check-in/out time. Please read through my listing below (ABOUT THIS ACCOMMODATION) and tell me something like the following (ABOUT YOURSELF) when contacting me, so we can speed up this process. - ABOUT YOURSELF - 1. Could you introduce yourself and your group a little bit on: a) where are you from and where will you travel from on the check-in date? b)Who is coming with you? c) What do you do for a living? So I can have an idea of who is coming to my home. (you can find mine on my profile). 2. What brings you to London? or what do you plan to do during your stay? For example, sightseeing as tourists, visiting relatives, a work-related or study trip, etc. 3. What time roughly on the check-in day do you plan to arrive at my place? You can update your arrival time late when the date is closer, for now, I need an idea to see if hosting you can be fixed into my schedule (and book a cleaner). 4. Are any members of your group a smoker? (If yes I need to address where the smoking area is). 5. Are you all fully vaccinated? If not, what is the reason? - ABOUT THIS ACCOMMODATION - A spacious bright double bedroom with your own private bathroom, which is near Greenwich and easy access to central London, Ideal for visiting Brockley or Goldsmith College. There are 2 double-size beds and 1 double sofabeds in the room. **Flexible keeping luggage: The regular time for check-in is after 3pm and check-out is before 11am. I am flexible to keep your luggage before check-in if your room is not ready, or after check-out. (Please note, if the previous guests haven't checked out yet, it is impossible to use the toilet/bathroom when you drop off your luggage, as the toilet is still reserved for the 'current' guests). Even though the check-in can be flexible, we have to arrange your arrival time in advance so I can schedule my day. 1. LOCATION Our flat is in London Oystercard travel zone 2, and is 10 to 13-minute walk to New Cross station or Brockley station (or a 5-minute, 3-stop bus ride from New Cross Gate station). From both New Cross and New Cross Gate stations, you can get a 1-stop 7-minute train to London Bridge station in the heart of central London. So you could get to central London from our flat in less than 20 minutes by public transport. (However, London is huge and so is its city centre. It takes 40 to 45 minutes to go to the west side of town.) **All nearby stations: 1. Brockley (about 10 minutes by walk, recommend for first-time visitors) 2. New Cross (about 10ms by walk, one-stop to London Bridge) 3. New Cross Gate (about 15ms by walk, good for shopping or dining on your way home, or taking a ride on the bus home; the next stop is Brockley) Above are both Rail and Overground stations 4. Deptford Bridge (about 13ms by walk, Dockland Light Rail) 5. Deptford (about 15ms, Rail station, good for shopping and dining on the way home, direct train to St Pancras station) Bus stops are just less than 3 minutes away, there are no 21, 321, 136, 436, 171, 172. Frequent services day and night. (Do you know that your second ride of buy within 1 hour is free of charge?) If you come by car, parking on the street outside our flat is free. 2. HOME-SHARING Overall. this accommodation is home-sharing, you will stay with my partner, me and our cats. My place is a 2-storey flat which is located at the top part of a 1920s house. It is on the 1st and the 2nd floor. (You would only be on the 1st floor.) There is a guest bathroom on the first floor and upstairs a shower room only for us. In an emergency, there are 2 toilets in the flat. **Kitchen and dining In addition, there is a homey kitchen on the first floor that you would share with us. You can cook and eat there but it is not for your entertaining or working purposes (as you might occupy it for long hours). There is a table in the guest room that you can use for eating too. Please note, this kitchen would be too tight for more than 4 people to sit and eat together comfortably. If you plan to have your group eat together in the kitchen, please consider this. More about the kitchen, please see the 'Guess access area" section 3. SLEEPING/BED ARRANGEMENT: (ADULTS & CHILDREN/BABIES WELCOME.) The default setting is that I will make a double bed for up to 2 people stay, 2 double beds for up to 4 people stay. If you have other preferences for bed arrangements please state them when making a booking. My partner and I would do our best to provide the kind of beds and sleeping arrangements to suit your needs for a comfortable stay according to your preferences. However, adding extra beds for your group (ie, 2 people request to have separate beds other than sharing a double bed, or 3 people asking to have 3 separate beds other than sharing 2 double beds) might have a one-off fee for bedding as it increases the cost and time of making room and cleaning (please understand that we only add a very small fee for extra people stay which does not reflect this cost). 4. SOME REQUESTS 4-a. CATS MUST NOT COME INTO YOUR ROOM/BATH: (YOUR BEDROOM/BATHROOM DOORS MUST BE FULLY CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.) If you like playing with cats, you can pet them and interact with them in the kitchen and in the lower-level landing area inside the flat's front door and at the bottom of the staircase. But cats must NOT go into your bedroom and bathroom (if let them in, when they need a toilet they might end up doing on your clothes, bed or your other belongings when you are not aware). So it is important that you keep your bedroom/bath doors fully closed at all times (not by letting the door lean ajar on the door frame, this way our cats can push the door in without being noticed.) Even when you are going to the kitchen for a few seconds to get a glass of water, please always close your bedroom door fully. Thank you for respecting this requirement. 4-b. THE FLAT DOOR MUST BE MANUALLY LOCKED: Our front door (our flat's entrance door) does not lock automatically when you close it. Also, you cannot open it unless you unlock it with a key. This means that every time you leave the house or come home, you must unlock the front door with the key, go out/come in, and then lock it behind you with the key. If you don't do this last bit, it is a security hazard, and we can be broken into, so please do NOT forget to always lock the front door with the key every time you come home or are going out for the day. Thanks. 4-C. PLEASE KEEP THE KITCHEN DOOR OPEN (when not using it) Our cats need access to the kitchen too. You can keep them out when you are cooking or eating in the kitchen by closing the door, but do remember to keep it open after using the kitchen. 5. !!!!!!!! PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE VERY VERY SENSITIVE TO NOISE OR HAVE ISSUES WITH CATS !!!!!!!! Please note that this room faces the front street so it is not as quiet as a library. For most of the guests that we have had (as you can see from hundreds of reviews I have from my past guests in my Airbnb profile), the sound of traffic with cars driving past and parking, and of people walking past and talking and chatting, has not been an issue. This house is just like any house that faces the front street. But if you are one of a very small minority of exceptionally sensitive to sound kind of people who cannot rest or sleep well unless you were in a very very quiet room, please don't book, as I wouldn't want you to book to stay in this room but don't enjoy your stay or complain because of the sound of cars being driven past and of people walking past and talking on the phone. Also, our flat has 4 indoor cats, plus sometimes we foster another cat and we could have kittens in the house. Having an animal in the house can be a bit like having a baby or a small child. Sometimes they can be loud (cats loudly meowing like humans can talk or shout loudly), they can run up and down day or night, and there can be occasionally throwing up in communal areas (vomiting - rare, it can happen once or twice a month, or sometimes doesn't happen for a month), toilet accidents (it often happen in the bathroom when bathroom door does not close tightly), as well as Simba's marking (he developed this behaviour after been banned for going out after his bad car accident last year.) Obviously, if you are allergic to cats or dislike cats, or don't want to be in a place where there can be running up and down and occasional small accidents as with staying in a house with small kids, please don't book. Usually, our cats are fairly calm and quiet, so chances are that it would be a peaceful environment if you booked to stay with us, but I don't guarantee that they will keep it as a library during your stay.
