The place was incredible! I loved the The Hobbit Shire theme. The place was well thought out and organized with signage to point us in the right direction with finding dishes, linen, and the comforts of the house. Check in was easy. Never had to worry about keeping it warm with the gas stove heater on a timer. Loved the covered parking for the morning after it snowed. The place is tucked away in the beautiful mountains. Peaceful and quiet. When a snow storm moved through the area, the owner Darcy was very nice to text us and make sure we were ok. We would love to come back and spend some time in the summer!

This home is located in a very scenic valley just a short 10 minute drive to Blackhawk & Central City. 30 minutes down mountain to Idaho Springs and about 45 minutes to Golden/Denver. Was very quiet and peaceful. Bathroom on the smaller side if you are a tall/large person. Beds were comfortable & home stayed warm during the cold winter nights. Host was very responsive to any of our concerns during the stay.

I’m so glad we chose to stay in Blackhawk! This cabin is absolutely adorable and was super cozy during our winter stay. The host was amazing, and we never needed to reach out to them for any issues at all. There were 4 of us- 2 couples, and we felt like it was roomy, cozy, and we had such a relaxing time. We planned to hang out and ate most meals cooked from scratch, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make hearty meals while enjoying the snowy scenery. 100% would stay again! I bet it’s gorgeous in the spring!
