The photos and description do not do this villa justice. It was absolutely incredible and better than we could have imagined. It was a massive private property that had a huge lemon grove in the entryway, followed by an outdoor rec room, pool, main house and guest house. The entry way has a large gate to keep the property secure. The rooms are much larger than advertised. The only downside was that the villa is extremely isolated and requires 2 very steep and long hills, I would recommend getting a small car to drive you up and down the hills (it’s that bad). The property is absolutely spectacular and I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay. The town is slow, so you’ll require taxis to go to major towns like Positano, Amalfi, etc. The main hotel also has a nice cafe and restaurant. Can’t wait to come back.

We could not have had a more perfect wedding venue. Mariano and Mary are the absolute best! They planned and executed everything flawlessly. The Villa and its lemon grove were amazing. Our theme was “lemons”, our bridesmaids wore yellow dresses- the view is spectacular. Wedding pictures in the lemon grove and against the coast backdrop. We had a Pizzaiolo make pizzas for our guests in the pizza oven AND taught them to make pizzas. All our guests were very comfortable and so happy. This is a little slice of Italian heaven here in Massa Lubrense. Mariano was so accommodating, friendly and very communicative. And he’s an Italian cutie pie too…Your other guests stay at the Gocce di Capri hotel which is a hop skip and a jump away from Villa Limonaia and managed by the same folks. You are close to Sorrento and can charter your boat for an excursion like we did. Memories made that will last a lifetime… Thank you Mariano and Mary for making my Italian wedding unforgettable. I’ll start with saying that this place is amazing, especially for a larger group! When I found the listing I had concerns about booking this because at the time there was only 1 review but I was reassured by the Gocce team that it was a newer listing for them. I’m so glad I did, the property was incredible. We had 5 adults and 4 kids in our group, there was plenty of room for everyone. There are two living quarters on the property which is situated in a private citrus grove, we didn’t even use the lower house. There is a huge covered outdoor bar, wood fired pizza oven, kitchen and entertainment space which we made full use of during the rainy days. It gave us plenty of room for the kids to play outside, there’s even a ping pong table and koi pond. The kids even picked oranges and lemons and we made fresh squeezed lemonade one morning. We got directions to the store about 10 mins away and bought everything needed to make pizzas in the outdoor oven, what a great memory. Gocce does offer to hire in a chef but we didn’t plan enough time for that. I highly recommend this for families or larger groups. The location is hard to find but if you go straight to the Gocce Resort and check-in they will lead you to the house which was very helpful.

We had an amazing family week in the villa! Thank you for contributing to such special memories. We loved spending time together in such a beautiful space with THE best view. Our one and a half year old grandson also had the best time, safely playing around the house. Highly recommended! Warm regards from South Africa
