I chose this place on the reviews posted, I guess my standards are different. Day of arrival I reach out to the host to ask for recommendations, I didn’t get s response for 7.5 hours or any recommendations. Positives- right on the beach, parking inside gated yard, bedroom is decent and bed is comfortable enough to sleep well. Kitchen to use. Negatives- lots of little pieces of trash in yard, lots of ants in bath and kitchen, very low water pressure/volume, it was too hot in the main living areas/ kitchen to enjoy (lack of fans and airflow or AC, AC is in bedroom). There was construction starting at daylight right next door, hammering concrete. The place is a bit run down, needs maintenance and repairs. A lack of details and absent host. The location is really neat but it’s well below a decent standard.

Easy to find (by car) and just walking distance from other beach resorts. For an oceanfront home, the place is clean and well maintained. My only concern is cleanliness of the beach. Shared by several resorts and surf camps, I think the local community is doing a poor job in maintaining their shoreline. Nevermind the lack of marketing and limited food options, this small town will lose tourism opportunity to other nearby towns if they don't keep their beach clean.

Kerry and Manay Anne are great hosts! We arrived at a very clean and cozy place. We had a great stay and I look forward to staying again in the future. Dios mabalos!

Kerry’s place by the beach is the best choice of accomodation in Gubat/Rizal Beach area. Nice beachfront accomodation, we even set up our tent to enjoy this lovely place. Functional kitchen, shower area and toilet. We even did BBQ, just bring meat and charcoal. When resting, I would even get deep sleep on their duyan. Overall, good we enjoyed our stay at Kerry’s place.
