Located on a 2000 sqm fenced property, this is the first finished guest structure, and we live in the Bugiw Cottage just across the driveway in the same property. The pool and studio will begin construction in March 2024. When you arrive, you'll see the portion of the property under construction is enclosed for your privacy. As you enter the gate, you will see the Main House right ahead of you. The natural dipping pool at the bottom of the staircase is shared by all guests. Going upstairs, and through the entry, the second floor living, dining, and kitchen area is a large central room with a high ceiling. The Loft rooms overlook this room, and the Lamadang Suite and Malasugi Room can be found on either side of the central room. The Lamadang Suite with King sized bed has an attached Study and En Suite Bathroom with bathtub and indoor/outdoor shower. Two single beds can be made up in this room for extra guests. There is a TV in the study, and a view of Bulusan volcano from the double desk. The West balcony has a partial view of the road and the sea, so you can check the waves before heading out to the beach. While our transformer is not yet installed, we have limited electricity. The water heater will be shut off, and the air-conditioner switched on at 6pm every day. The Lamadang Suite has a split type air-conditioner. The Malasugi Room and Turingan Loft are listed separately, so you might be sharing the house with other guests during your stay up to 6 other guests during your stay. The Batalay Loft is set up as a TV room and common area with a workspace, when our rooms are rented out separately. We purposely keep the trees along the West fence to protect the house when the wind is strong, so the view is partially obstructed.

I highly recommend this place. It's incredibly peaceful and serene, perfect for unwinding. I loved every aspect of it, from the kitchen to the bedroom and bathroom, and everything in between. Finally, I could breathe some fresh air away from the city. Would definitely go back!
Brought my mom and my partner to Gubat, Sorsogon. We all loved the place! The kitchen was fully equipped, you’ll just need to bring ingredients if you want to cook. The complimentary breakfast was also nice to have. We bonded over board games that were available and the unlimited view of the rice fields. The dogs are adorable and playful (Honor almost knocked me out when we were playing fetch, he’s not aware how big he is 😆). Lily (the cat) became liquid when I picked her up. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. We were given a heads up that the AC is generator-powered, so we figured that’s why it’s not getting as cold as we want the room to be. The bathroom was clean, hot water was also available. The complimentary coconut oil was helpful since I got sunburnt 😅. Kuya Luigie and Ate Niezel were accommodating and answered any question or concern that we had. Already thinking of going back to Baia Nest with some family and friends 🫶🏽 Thank you again, Tamara and Marie!

Buenavista is a popular surfing destination in Gubat, Sorsogon. This small beach barrio boasts a 2 kilometer, grey sand beach, facing the Pacific Ocean. Bicol University is across the street from our house, and guests will walk through a field to get to the beach just 2 minutes away.
Behind our house, there is a sea of rice fields, and it's usually quiet, except a few days a year when the farmers are tilling the soil. Since Gubat faces the East coast, the back of our house has a rare view of the sunset.
Gubat town is a quiet little town with a few restaurants and a couple of bars. The people are friendly, and most locals can speak some English.
There are tricycles, buses, and jeepneys that pass just outside our house, so it's pretty easy to hop on one to get to the nearest town or city, or to go sightseeing. Parking is quite easy everywhere.

We are visual artists: Martin is a musician and film director, and Tamara is a Cinematographer. We both surf+travel often. We are based in Subic Bay with our eight! dogs. We love camping and good times on the beach with easygoing people. We keep to ourselves, so you won't see us or our team unless we are needed. We'll give you your privacy while you're staying at our Nest. We clean up after ourselves and respect the locals. :)
