The cottage was lovely, and in a really secluded area miles from the main road. It was a great base for hillwalking and exploring this remote area. Really recommend the restaurant at the train station nearby. There is also an OS map of the estate in the cottage so you don’t need to buy your own
Corrour Estate is absolutely stunning. Loch Ossian and the Munros around it are beautiful, the remoteness is amazing (probably one of the remotest places in all of Scotland), the accommodation is top notch, and the estate staff were very helpful. We spent one day hiking to the north of Loch Ossian and a second day shooting clays and using one of the estates Canadian canoes to paddle down the Loch to Corrour Station. The restaurant at Corrour Station serves very tasty and hearty country food, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, better than the majority of gastro pub fare I’ve had in the UK. Overall this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in the UK. It is also serviced by the sleeper train to London. Martina was also very courteous and helpful.
Doll's House is just perfect and oh so cosy! Everything is new and very clean. The kitchen is extremely well equipped (but no food except for salt and pepper, not even tea. Bring it all! There are no shops in perhaps 30 miles radius). The cottage is beautifully situated on the lake. The garden is full of pretty flowers. The nature and landscape in Currour are breathtaking. Currour is a private area, extremely remote and very far from civilization. Perfect for hiking. However, there is the tiny train station (and restaurant) Currour on the West Highland Line (known for the Hogwarts Express). We did a day trip to Mallaig by train, which was very nice. We loved all about or stay in Dolls House! What a huge privilege to have been there!
The doll’s house at Corrour is the perfect spot for a rural escape! The estate is vast and beautiful and you really feel like you have escaped everyday life. Martina was the perfect host and did everything to make us feel at home! The estate has lots of amenities, we would reccomend: lunch at the station, canoeing on the Loch and use the loch side sauna!
