Had a great weekend at Kris’s place. Place was cute, clean, and comfortable. Bedrooms were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The little downstairs bedroom was so fun. Yard was great for the kids to play, and we spent each afternoon by the fire pit. The porches were great to sit and enjoy dinner. Location was nice. 10 minutes to Ferne Cliff and downtown goreville. Two cars were tight to park, and the couch wasn’t the most comfortable, but we spent so much time outside that it wasn’t an issue. The boat ramp is very, very steep - I wouldn’t recommend anyone pregnant or elderly walk down it, but again, part of the location as So. Illinois is extremely hilly. That’s what makes the area so beautiful. Kris was a great host - when we needed batteries she came right over. When we had a question about the washer she replied right away. We would stay again!

We loved staying here! Our kids had a great time and loved the downstairs area, especially. We also loved the outside area with hammock, fire pit, and tire swing. My kids enjoyed playing one of the games they provided and even read one of the books for bedtime! We walked to the dock area to see stars and ride the paddle boat! It’s also a short distance to Ferne Clyffe state park where we did hiking and sight seeing. We had everything we needed, and Kris was responsive right away if we had any questions or needed anything. We only wish we could stay longer!

What a perfect stay! We loved this one-of-a-kind treehouse with its own private peaceful yard. The treehouse was clean, comfy, and well-stocked. We loved the snacks! But the absolute best part was the easy walk across the road down to a private dock. We kayaked, did some catch and release fishing, and just enjoyed the scenery. Wonderful, responsive host, and plenty of places within a short drive to keep us happily fed. We also cooked in our treehouse kitchen. We will definitely be back and hope to bring more family with us next time!!

So many thoughtful things - all types of chargers, coffee, creamers, snacks, s’mores basket, condiments & so many little little touches. Very thoughtful that I want Kris to decorate my house. Kayaks & paddle boat, great dock area. Just lovely to relax. Can’t recommend enough, anyone staying will be pleased as punch.
