What a great experience, from start to finish! This is the hosts personal home transformed into a beautiful and spiritual stay. The side you will stay on offers different rooms, singles or doubles, or where we stayed (if available) the tiny house off to the side that was hand built by the host! The common area and sunroom are so relaxing and just very comforting spaces. The yoga took itself was well maintained and there was a beautiful shrine they have made honoring those who have shed light onto the hosts personal yoga journeys. Every morning the host made homemade breakfast for us after morning yoga, then following was sound/gong meditation. I recommend going to both! We were not sure what to expect but this was more than we could of asked for! 10/10 Recommend, would love to return!

The quail house was very cute and cozy and the heated floors were a plus. The pop up window at the top was awesome and the view of the stars at night was absolutely stunning!!! There’s an incinerating toilet behind closet doors, which the host will explain how to use, but there’s no sink. So you’ll have to walk outside to the main house to use the full bathroom (picture 11). Pictures do make the space look much bigger than it is. The space is ideal for one person but you can squeeze two in there if you need to. The listing displays alternating pictures of the Quail’s Nest and the main house/ retreat center which can be a little confusing. So, pictures 4,11,21-24 and 26-29 display the interior of the retreat center not the Quail’s Nest. The Sauna and hot tub were a nice touch to the retreat. We didn’t get to try the morning yoga but the gong sound meditation was awesome! Harmeet did a great job at teaching the class. Just keep an eye out for changes in times with regards to yoga and gong. Check-in is a very narrow window of time. If you pass it you’ll be charged a late check- in fee that is not stated under the listing in the “About This Space” section where it would typically be. You’ll find this info all the way at the bottom of the “Hosted by Emily” section. This was brought up to the host, so by the time you read this review, hopefully it will be adjusted. Overall, the quail’s nest was a nice experience in a very quite no-nonsense environment. However, the hosts can definitely benefit from accurate communication and clear instructions/ information.

The whole place was very well decorated. The tiny house was closer to the main building than expected so it was convenient to shower and get to yoga practice. The overall experience was quiet and peaceful. For us, it definitely felt more of a serious and no-nonsense environment than a relaxing and joyful one. While the stay was pretty smooth, the only minor issue was that it wasn't clear that we needed to check in around certain time range till the day of arrival so it was definitely stressful for us to get there in time. But we appreciate the host still showing up despite of a later check-in. We would recommend taking a closer look at their check-in policy before you book!
