We stayed at the Red Barn for a generational gathering just in time for the 2024 Solar Eclipse. Jen's directions, guidance, and helpful tips made planning the trip easy. The property is quiet, beautiful, and peaceful but only 1 and 5 miles away from 2 different wineries, a local BBQ place, and a short 7-ish miles to Boerne. The Sister Creek Winery was our favorite. Jen and her family are helpful, happy to answer any questions, and can give you great recommendations. The property itself is styled full of Texiana and well organized. The kitchenette is a little cramped but has everything you need including a garbage disposal! As mentioned, we were here for the 2024 Eclipse. We booked at the end of spring, 2023 and noted that many properties increased their rates for that weekend tremendously. Jen and her family did not and we were so thankful that the property was in a great location, fit us all, and that this family was more about sharing their hometown rather than just for profit.

I highly recommend the Red Barn: the location is great, and you will find the perfect balance between a peaceful environment and fun entertainment with the outdoors options. Jennifer was very kind and understanding, as well as flexible, when I had to modify my dates 1 day ahead. Before and during our stay, her response time is the best I've had on Airbnb, and we came a holiday weekend, so much appreciated! The Red Barn also includes a lot of extras that make you feel like you are in a high end rental combined with quiet country-side environment. I don't think you will regret booking this one!

The Red Barn Cottage is absolutely the best place to stay when visiting in the area. Check-in and check-out is very easy with simple instructions. The hospitality and extra touches of delicious cookies, drinks & snacks, facial masks, etc. were like none other we've every experienced. The property is beautiful and peaceful and super clean. It is located very close to town and super close to wedding venues and wineries. The suggestions of restaurants and activities made by the hostess were spot on. This will definitely be my first choice to stay when revisiting the area.
