This airbnb is presented and priced as a premium stay (relative to others in Taipei), but in reality it is average at best. For this price it would be possible to stay in a much more accommodating hotel (or perhaps a different airbnb). I will list the cons. Most are small, but they add up to a fairly dissatisfying experience. - very noisy, can hear traffic through the walls - under-stocked (no hand towels, no body wash, missing hand soap, no spare blankets, no spare towels, etc) - under-furnished - very cold in these winter, with no heat and no additional blankets - the short head space by the bed is shown in the pictures a little but it's more restrictive in real life These kind of things, combined with the generally austere space, are what I would expect at a notably lower price point in Taipei. Host was fairly responsive, but it was too little too late.

My stay at Davids place was a very good experience. I stayed for four months during my exchange semester at NTU. The location of the apartment was very convenient with bus station just outside the apartment and a subway station just 2 mins away. I also found the apartment very cozy. David as a host was very helpful, answered very fast when I had some trouble with for example the remote to the TV. The only thing, that has been mentioned in the other reviews is the noise from the street, but also from the other Airbnbs. The windows or walls are not very isolated which lets the sound through, but for me, I slept with earplugs every night, so the sound was no problem.

The apartment is conveniently situated within walking distance of Guting MRT station, taking less than five minutes on foot. The neighborhood offers a variety of restaurants and convenience stores. During our month-long stay for Chinese language studies at NTNU, we found it also walkable, taking about 12 minutes to reach the university on foot. The apartment, though not very spacious, is well-equipped with almost all necessities. However, it lacks a full kitchen, having only a sink, fridge, and microwave. The building is situated on a busy street, resulting in constant street noise. While it was challenging during the initial days, we gradually grew accustomed to it as time passed. The host, David, is highly responsive. Whenever we had requests during our stay, he promptly attended to them and got back to us quickly.
