1. The heater in the house is solely at the host's discretion. Beware the house is extremely cold, because the heater is kept extremely low. All I wanted was a little bump in the heater and I paid a healthy amount for the reservation. When I asked to use the space heater I found in the closet inside my room she said no, because it is too expensive. I was told to wear more cloths, and pile on blankets. I was travelling with one suitcase and didn't foresee the need of heavy winter cloths and I didn't plan on spending an entire month under blankets. 2. The pantry, regrigerator & freezer are extremely full with clutter, some moldy items and oven was very dirty. 3. The chairs in the room are not ergonomical to sit on for extended periods and work remotely, so I just sat on the ground. 4. In the room there is a dresser and closet, but both are completely full with host's personal items and therefore, I had no room to unpack, so my stuff was all over the floor. Overall, overpriced.

Susan is such a great host, she made me feel at home the whole time I was there. Her apartment is clean and in a great location. She has many amazing stories to share and I’m happy to have her as a new friend. I highly recommend staying here!

My stay at Susan's Airbnb was absolutely incredible! Susan is not just a host, but a kind soul who made my time there truly unforgettable. Being in between long-term airbnbs, I was a bit hesitant about not being in my own place. However, Susan and the other guests were great, instantly making me feel at home. To say Susan was hospitable would be an understatement. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. But what truly stood out was the genuine connection we formed. We had the most fantastic conversations and shared stories, and I can confidently say that I've found a lifelong friend in Susan. I'm so excited that I've already made plans to have dinner with Susan when my mom visits next week. It's a testament to the incredible bond we developed during my stay. If you're looking for a true home away from home Airbnb experience, I highly recommend staying with Susan.

I’m so happy that I found this room for rent in Susan’s home. In addition to her room, she rents out all three of the other bedrooms, so it’s not a private apartment, but that’s part of the charm. Susan is very friendly and tuned in to the world, and it was fun to encounter her or the other guests in the evenings and chat about our lives and experiences over a glass of wine. But she’ll also leave you alone if you prefer! Each bedroom has an individual lock with a numeric code so I felt perfectly safe about leaving my belongings in my room when I left the house. Alamo Square is very centrally located. The neighborhood is calm and there are tons of great restaurants right nearby, but it’s also easy to get anywhere else in the city from there, via transit or scenic walks! I would definitely stay with Susan again, and you should too!
