Pool open June - October. Recently fully renovated stone detached farmhouse set in over half an acre in the beautiful Charente countryside. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with private pool. Outside you will find a large garden, seating area, bbq and pizza oven. A 10 min drive to the picturesque village of Aubeterre where you will find a number of bars and restaurants, riverside beach with canoes and bar. Chalais and Montmoreau are a 10 min drive away where you will find supermarkets. Please contact via inbox for shorter stays out of summer season Totally refurbished house with 3 new bathrooms and kitchen. Large garden with private fenced in private pool (not heated so only open during May-October). We offer a bbq, pizza oven and covered seating under a pergola and outside table and chairs we also have a free standing fire pit for those chilly nights. There is also a trampoline with safety net. 4 bedrooms Upstairs- master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath and shower, toilet and basin. 2nd bedroom- Twin room with 2 single beds 3rd bedroom - King size bed (can be made into a twin room) Downstairs bedroom - Double bed with en-suite shower room, basin and toilet. Situated at the back of the property with French double doors leading to a terrace with table and chairs Further downstairs bathroom with shower, basin and toilet off the utility to the rear of the house. Ideal for showering after a dip in the pool . Living room with large corner sofa and chairs, open fire, satellite smart tv, internet connection and double French door leading to the front of the property. Recently fitted modern Kitchen with built in appliances, American fridge freezer with filtered water and automatic ice maker, oven, hob, microwave and a dishwasher. Kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Kitchen offers dining table which seats 8, an open fire with sofa and chair. There is a small bar area under the stairs. In the utility room you will find an extra fridge and a washing machine Having been regular visitors to this area over the past 20 years and getting married here 15 years ago. In 2018 we finally realised our dream and bought our own piece of France. We have been renovating the property for 9 months it’s now a beautiful home that we are very proud of. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do when we visit. The house was originally one small house with a barn attached. It has now been converted into one large dwelling.

Louise’s place is a lovely peaceful retreat away from it all and Louise was a very friendly and responsive host. We were 2 families staying here with 4 children and it was a great place to chill out, take a dip in the pool and enjoy the beautiful countryside scenery. Lots of beautiful places to visit in the nearby area and recommend kayaking on the river at Aubeterre Sur Dronne, hiring e-bikes and exploring the vineyards of St Emillion and a visit to Bergerac. We had a wonderful stay at this property! Amazing surrounding scenery, where we could escape from every day life and enjoy slumbering by the pool or in the garden. The property is equipped with everything you need! Louise is a great hostess and answered all questions thrown her way…Perfect location to explore the rural parts of France! We will be back. Just ten minutes up the road is Aubeterre Sur Dronne, which is a must to visit! Many thanks again Louise for helping us have an extremely enjoyable and relaxing holiday in the sunshine!
We had a fantastic time at Les Beauries. We stayed for 2 weeks as a family of six, including four younger children. We happily spent much of our holiday hanging out at the house, enjoying the amazing pool and extensive outdoor space. The whole house has been refurbished to a high standard and is thoroughly equipped with everything you could need, from the pizza oven in the garden to the Sky package on the TV. Everything is exactly as listed and on the pictures, and it's clean and well kept. Louise's communication before, during and after the stay was exemplary - quick, friendly, helpful and good advice. She has a caretaker close by who deals with any issues very quickly, and who cleans the pool regularly. The house is located in a very quiet rural setting in South Charente with great views across the sunflower fields, but is only 10-15 minutes from good supermarkets and other amenities in Montmoreau or Chalais. It is 10 minutes from the beautiful town of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, where we visited the underground church, went to the river beach, and kayaked and paddleboarded down the river. Also close by is Base de loisirs de Poltrot where the kids did the high ropes courses. Further afield, trips into the Dordogne are easily doable - we made it to Bergerac / Monbazillac, Brantome, and Grotte de Villars. Highly recommended!
This house was a dream come true. It had all the facilities/amenities we could possibly need and it’s decorated beautifully, whilst remaining nice and cosy. There were only 2 of us staying and our little dog, and it was perfect, but I’d also absolutely recommend it to families and groups of friends. There are lovely markets nearby, places to go kayaking, lovely restaurants and much much more. The seating area outside was perfect and we ate most meals there whilst staring out over the stunning dordogne landscape, which will take your breath away. We can’t wait to rebook, possibly with some family, but maybe just us again!! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. Also, the host is English speaking and stays in touch as much or a little as you wish. She was just wonderful and made everything so easy for us :). Very sad to leave!!!!
