As you turn onto Thatcher Mill you'll feel the comfort of this mountain retreat. Your tranquil drives ends at this 12 year old home that we call our cabin. It's well built and sits off the road a bit and invites you to relax and enjoy what the Lake McCumber /Mt Lassen community has to offer. The sounds of silence radiates through the trees and gives that sense of calm we all wish for in our daily lives. Once inside you find it a comfortable stay. Backyard is awesome! Stay another day!

Our charming cabin is nestled on a private road with breathtaking ridge views, just 20 minutes away from the Lassen Volcanic National Park. The cabin overlooks the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake and has access to a private dock with kayaks and a canoe. This cabin sleeps two with a beautiful 4-Poster King Bed in the Living Area and cozy Hammock on the back deck. Additional romantic features of the cabin is the huge soaking tub for two, electric fireplace, fluffy bathrobes, and vintage chandelier.

This is a lovely cabin tucked under the pines. Close to Mt. Shasta and skiing, fishing and hiking areas as well as the historic town of Dunsmuir. There’s a kitchen with a full size refrigerator so you can stay in or enjoy a lovely meal in town. Mt. Shasta is about 10 minutes away with wonderful shops and restaurants to explore. The cabin is located in Cedar Pines RV Resort so there is ample parking for trailers. There are security cameras around the park, but no cameras in the cabin

You could walk out the backdoor of the cabin, into the forest, and arrive at the Lassen Visitor Center without crossing a single paved road, or seeing another human. Just bears.
