The Loft at SoHo: Architecture & Views

REST, EAT and WANDER. With Hobart at your doorstep, The Loft at SoHo is the perfect base for all explorers. Cosy yet contemporary, this architect designed, free standing townhouse in historical South Hobart is filled with sun, art and views of kunanyi (Mt Wellington). Although surrounded by popular cafes and shops, The Loft is quiet and private. Situated near the stunning Hobart Rivulet, it's an easy 15-20 min walk or 10 min ride to the CBD. Or cycle/walk the other way to the Cascade Brewery.

Lesley House

Beautiful old renovated house in historic South Hobart, close to South Hobart shops including a number of restaurants and pubs. The house is 25-30 minutes walk from the Hobart wharf/Salamanca /Hobart city. The house itself is warm and friendly with 3 to 4 good sized bedrooms and a large, sunny open plan kitchen, dinning, lounge area with (in winter) a clear view of beautiful Mt Wellington. A playground, basketball/tennis courts and oval are just around the corner. Great location for kids.

Soho Studio

SOHO studio is situated in the heart of South Hobart. Used by thinkers, artists and writers, and you. The idea of the SOHO studio is to supply a space for creative thought but will also be used by travellers to the island during part of the year. The main bedroom, living and kitchen is upstairs. Downstairs is the studio set up which doubles up as the second bedroom for additional guests. You might not notice it at first but the wall downstairs doubles as door for the downstairs room. Enjoy!

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Architectural Mountain Retreat - True Tasmania

Wake up with Mt Wellington in your window and sunlight streaming through. This top level South Hobart apartment is sunny and private - you will feel immersed in beautiful bushland, but still enjoy easy access to the city, and Hobart's famous waterfront (just a 10min drive into the Hobart CBD/Salamanca and a 15 min drive to the top of Mt Wellington). The apartment has been architecturally designed and showcases beautiful Tasmanian timbers, complemented by quality furnishings and bedding.

Laneway hideaway

Our architect designed, garden roof cabin was built in 2020 to take in views across they valley to knocklofty. North facing the sun warms this house with the passive solar design maintaining a steady temperature. To complement this there is a wood fire for grey days and a sliding door and bifold windows for hot ones. Ply lining and exposed rafters give the house a cabin feel creating a retreat feeling. Different outdoor spaces provide great options to soak in the sun and neighbourhood.

Mountain View Guest House

Our Guest home is nestled in the foothills of Mount Wellington and is only minutes to the CBD by bus . The free standing house is one bedroom with a queen bed and has a double sofa inner spring bed in the living room, a spare single mattress bed is also available for extra people. Although the house can accommodate 5 people, the house is quite small and is not really suitable for 5 adults if you need lots of space, Families with kids will manage OK just don't expect heaps of extra space.

The Bakehouse - character - history - convenience

The bake house is a unique historical building circa 1880 that has been converted into contemporary accomodation. It is part of a precinct of three buildings, all relating the same function of supporting "Watson's" Bakery in the shop facing Macquarie street (now a funky homewares shop). You get to enjoy a three bedroom house. Three bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom and toilet, living kitchen, dining and laundry downstairs. You have your own private courtyard with a picnic setting.

Laneway 98 - Designer Luxe Cottage on City Fringe

Laneway 98 is a charming retreat nestled in the heart of South Hobart. Offering a blend of modern luxury and historic charm, the late 1800's worker’s cottage has been renovated to the highest standard, utilising original features where possible. The ideal base for exploring Hobart and its surrounds. Only a 5-minute walk to the Cascade Brewery, Cascades Female Factory, and the South Hobart rivulet. If you venture a little further, you will find the CBD and Salamanca waterfront.

The Scientist's Residence

The perfect base for a visit to Hobart, situated amongst the cafes and shops of picturesque South Hobart, and steps to the glorious Rivulet Track. A 15-minute walk to town (25 mins to Salamanca), or 5-minute drive. This is a beautiful, newly renovated private flat with plenty to inspire your inner scientist. Enjoy the full kitchen (complete with naturally antimicrobial copper bench tops), washer/dryer, rain shower, and sliding doors opening onto your own private sitting area.
