Tiny House at Wooded Bliss Homestead

On the edge of our family homestead overlooking meadow & forest, this tiny house offers a quiet, cozy refuge only 45 minutes from Acadia National Park. There's a twin day bed on the ground floor & a double futon in the loft. Tiny kitchen & bathroom with shower (2 temps: hot or cold) too. A heat pump keeps the place toasty warm or nice and cool. Our family's gazebo, grill, fire pit, hammock, trails & garden are shared with guests. A beautiful beach across the bay from Acadia is down the road.

If you are traveling solo for work or pleasure you can experience a unique & comfortable place to call home. Out back behind the house is the barn that provides a rustic experience that feels a lot like staying in a cabin. Two floors offer more room than you could imagine with amenities that you would expect. You will have a delightful story to tell when you get home. It's beside a forested hillside located 12 miles from Ellsworth, 15 miles from Schoodic Point & 28 miles from Bar Harbor/Acadia.

You have the entire "Spot" to yourself and whatever wildlife happens to show up that day! *****If you plan to book over the 4th of July holiday, please be aware that we will be setting off fireworks on this night. It is very loud. If you or anyone in your party is sensitive to loud explosions/mortars, please do not book.****

Outdoor grill, awning and lobster cooker give you the complete Maine experience. But, if crowds are your thing, Bar Harbor is only 30-40 minutes away using the Mud Creek -> Douglas Hwy -> Jordan River Rd, shortcut.

(Bottom floor of cabin is unoccupied) Just 10 minutes from the beautiful, quiet lakes, mountains and trails of Donnell Pond Maine State Preserve. Centrally located between the two units of Acadia National Park (Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula). Explore Downeast Maine, swim or kayak from the front yard, or just relax on the large screen porch, watch the sunset, and listen to the loons.
