A rare “John Scott” an architectural dream

We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

A 5mins drive from town or the lake or a 15mins walk to either. The entire home and garden are yours to enjoy. Lovely, 1-bedroom, self contained unit, double glazed windows. Own courtyard in a sunny garden, the courtyard includes a private area for you to lockup 2 bikes. Close to Taupo lake and town. This unit is in the lower part of our home, which is a 2-storey building. Your access, courtyard and living areas are all completely separate from ours, with off street parking. Your privacy during your stay is our utmost consideration and therefore we take all steps necessary to leave you to relax.

The woolshed - pet friendly luxury retreat

Converted woolshed, set on a small farm of 25 hectares. We have cows and horses. We are 15 min from Taupo town. The Woolshed is separate from our home, giving you privacy during your stay. From the deck area/French doors all you will see is farmland! We are directly off SH1, down a long drive way, making this a great location for those wanting a place to stay during a road trip, but also quiet and peaceful if you want a few days away!
