In under three minutes, you can be at the Back of the Dragon Center. It’s less than 1 mile to Tazewell‘s downtown where you’ll find restaurants and quaint shops.

One hundred year old farm house that is newly renovated on 16 acres of Appalachian hardwood forest and pasture land and situated just 2.5 miles from the Hatfield and McCoy Trail System and 30 minutes to Winterplace. Located centrally between the cities Bluefield and Princeton, while being conveniently located two miles from Bluewell and just six miles from historic Bramwell, WV.

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Our house is centrally located between Bluefield, Bramwell, WV and Pocahontas, VA. This makes it the perfect base for exploring the region. Winter Place Ski resort is just over 40 minutes away. You can also visit the local restaurants, historic theater, shops, and colleges. We hope you'll consider staying with us on your trip!

Take a step back in time. Rural America. Before fast food chains, and even before Walmart... Surrounded by Mountains and conveniently located, direct access to Warrior Trailhead and High Rocks. Enjoy Wilmore Dam, or perhaps a day at Berwind Lake trout fishing, or hiking. This can be purchased with the main house or as a stand alone unit. If purchased together the price will be reduced to $40 a night. Guest will have entire space to themselves.

Reconnect with your spouse as you unplug from the hustle and bustle. Rest, laugh, enjoy! The cabin is located on a working family farm. You can purchase beef, pork, and chicken to cook while you’re here or bring a cooler and take some home.
