Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Serenity Tiny House Located Near Top Attractions!

The house sits on the Mountain Shire property (check out our insta @mountainshire) located minutes from top attractions in Pigeon Forge (e.g. Dollywood), Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. Enjoy 200 sq. ft. of living space that includes WiFi, a loft with queen-sized bed, living room with sofa-bed and RokuTV, kitchenette (Keurig coffee pods) and bathroom with shower. Outdoor amenities include a private chiminea + lounge chairs, and shared fire pits, secluded deck in the woods and BBQ.

Wee Nook- a Hobbit Hole

Wee Nook is a 360 square foot living space with a full kitchen and bathroom. It is tucked underground in the middle of the woods. Please come enjoy the woods, farm animals, trails, pond and wide open space while you're here! As JRR Tolkien said: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hold, and that means comfort.”

Romantic Treehouse w/ Sauna, Hot Tub, & Fire Pits!

Perched 15 feet up in the Tennessee woods, The Treehouse is where you come to celebrate something — an anniversary, a proposal, a birthday, or just the fact that you finally stopped. Hand-built by Amish craftsmen with an 1848 front door and 100-year-old stained glass, it pairs a cast iron claw-foot tub for two, a king bed, and a private hot tub under the stars with full access to a sauna, cold plunge, and more. 1 hour from Nashville, 15 minutes from Cookeville. Further out, there's easy access to stores and restaurants with a few lovely places for antique shopping. Nashville itself is just a short drive away.

Perched on the edge of a cliff, this cabin offers incredible views of Byrd Creek below. The generous deck high above the ground, amidst towering trees and forest fauna is the perfect place to relax and get back to nature. The cabin does not have a kitchen, bathroom or AC. A short minute walk along a historic moss covered wagon trail brings you to an outdoor kitchen and clean bathhouse. Several large ceiling fans and insulation keeps the cabin comfortable in summer.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Beautiful sunsets overlooking Watts Bar lake. Deer in the yard every evening at sunset. Great fishing, plenty of room for boat parking. Up to date, quiet, cozy cabin. Large bedroom with two very comfortable king beds. All linens are completely washed after each stay. Full covered deck. Million-dollar views, peaceful sunsets, wildlife every evening, and one of the cleanest cabins on Watts Bar Lake.
