My place is a newly renovated apartment furnished and decorated in a way that entirely expresses my personal taste and my needs as a guest. As long as you enter the apartment all spaces are accessible to you. The waterfront is just steps from the front door, while nearby points of interest include Aristotle's Square and Agia Sofia church. Public transportation is the best way to move around as parking can be quite tricky downtown. I would not recommend that.
