Step into my historic home, the Blue Painted Lady, a beautifully preserved Victorian on San Francisco’s iconic Postcard Row. Built in 1894, the house is filled with family heirlooms and offers a once-in-a-lifetime glimpse inside one of America’s most famous homes. • In the parlor, I’ll explain my family’s long history with this glorious property and San Francisco. I’ll guide you through rooms on three floors, sharing family heirlooms and the stories of those who once owned them, including a first-edition Mark Twain book. • Are you interested in architecture, film, historic preservation, or the Gold Rush? I’ll tailor your experience and share family stories and historic anecdotes accordingly. • Our tour concludes in the elegant dining room, where I’ll talk about the Painted Ladies’ significance in San Francisco and discuss the importance of preserving this iconic piece of history. Paint Watercolor with a Local Artist

You will have the opportunity to paint iconic San Francisco images in watercolor with an experienced artist and teacher. Beginners are welcome and all materials are included, you'll walk away with your own personal masterpiece! My name is James Gleeson and I am a multi faceted, local San Francisco Artist who specializes in local scenes of San Francisco. My work reflects both academic discipline and creative artistic freedom. My studio is located in the Bernal Heights/Mission district where I display my work and share my passion for art with others. This is where I paint and teach my classes, you will be immersed by iconic images and paintings of San Francisco. We do a different theme each class and I prepare an individual drawing for each student on watercolor paper. All students are provided materials and a spacious place to work. We will do a quick round of introductions and I'll explain our theme and painting in a beginner friendly step by step process. I will explain and demonstrate each step for students to paint each segment of the painting. You will learn basic water color technique as well as color and design methods. I am very excited to host you and to provide this artistic experience. As a teacher I love working with beginners and seeing their inspiration for art grow. "Street Stories" San Francisco Murals with Sirron Norris

For the past 50 years, the walls of San Francisco’s Mission District have served as vibrant canvases for graffiti artists and muralists. For 25 of those years, I’ve contributed my own work to this colorful tapestry. Join me on a walking tour of the neighborhood’s most iconic alley, where I’ll introduce you to my murals and other standout pieces. • Starting Point: We’ll meet at my studio/gallery, where I’ll share stories from my journey as an artist. Perhaps you’ve spotted my signature blue bears around town? Or maybe you’re familiar with the animated show Bob’s Burgers—I was the original designer for the show. • Balmy Alley: From there, we’ll head to Balmy Alley, home to an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary murals. We’ll discuss the evolution of mural culture in the Mission, as well as the techniques, styles, and cultural narratives that make each piece unique. • Studio Visit: Our tour will conclude with a visit to my art studio.This is your chance to explore my work, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about my art. San Francisco’s streets are the most radical site for skateboarding's history in the world. On Thrasher Magazine’s Skate and Destroy Tour, walk—or roll—through the architecture, history, and underground scene that made the city a global skateboarding mecca. • Begin at St. Mary’s Square to learn how Modernist architecture in Northern California created the most radical terrain for skateboarders, before exploring iconic spots like Black Rock, China Banks, Portsmouth Square and Embarcadero to hear how sculptures, plazas, and surfaces shaped the sport. • Follow the lines of legends like Tommy Guerrero, Keith Hufnagel, and Mike Carroll, and see firsthand how Financial District plazas became proving grounds for technical innovation in skateboarding. • Conclude at the Ferry Building, steps from the Embarcadero, where modern technical street skating was born. Welcome to Fingersnaps Media Arts DJ Studio & Music Library, in the Heart & Soul of the Mission district San Francisco; a space curated to dream, wonder, learn, express, gather, and have fun. You will put a needle to a record, cue up a song on the DJ Controller, browse the music library of vinyl records, boxsets, CD’s, and audio cassettes. You will learn about the history of the 12’ inch single and the early years of electronic music, hip hop, jazz, and soul. As an individual or a group we will be creating special effects, sampling, looping, scratching, editing, and remixing many genres music. At conclusion, you will have a deeper understand and insight into the mind of a DJ; what we do and why we do what we do. Many of your questions and natural curiosity concerning the art form of spinning music will be answered. Learn To DJ is an extremely hands on the DJ equipment interactive and conversational experience. You’ll be challenged, you’ll have fun, you’ll gain a greater appreciation for the art of DJing.
