A quiet family friendly getaway perfect to unwind, relax, bird watch and disconnect from everyday life. Wi-fi is not available. Sleeps up to six people. Bottom level has a full size bed, full bath, fully stocked kitchen,stove, full size refrigerator, coffee bar, screened in porch. One bathroom inside and half bath outside. Located 16 miles N. of Uvalde, bumpy entrance road is 1.2 miles N. of Chalk Bluff. Park. The cabin is 1/4 mile, walking distance to the clear, beautiful Nueces River.

This is a river house like no other. You will enjoy unique modern upgrades. Enjoy an abundance of deer & turkey, right outside the front door. The master bedroom, kitchen & bathroom rival any high end accommodations you may find. Its a true gem. We have "Barn Life" on airbnb which is in back. This peaceful cabin is centrally located in the Texas Hill Country, close to Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park and Hill Country State Natural Area. Drive through the Hill Country on the Twisted Sisters, enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Close by, you can enjoy floating or swimming in the Frio River and the Sabinal River at the Utopia Park. Utopia has a renowned golf course featured in the movie Seven Days in Utopia. Concan 20 miles away also has a golf course.

The Louise Cottage brings to life the bold personality of Louise Sawyer from Thelma and Louise, the classic film about two bffs on the ultimate adventure. Vintage rustic charm & funky flair, this cottage is the perfect place to crash after a day floating the Frio or exploring Garner park. Conveniently located off of hwy 83, between Concan and Garner, this location is ideal for those who want the best of both worlds. $60 pet fee per dog with breed restrictions. No dogs over 50lbs

Buchanan Cabin 36 Frio River Access

Concan and the spring fed Frio River has been a favorite destination for many families since 1926. It is the perfect place to be in the Off-Season: - Weather is great and less congested than in the summertime. - In the Spring birders travel from all over the country to see rare birds. All guests have access to the spring fed Swimming Hole. "Floating the Frio" has not been good for several years because of the drought. Pray for rain. The land and rivers are thirsty.
