Enjoy river swimming and hiking right from the property or just relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the valley. 5 minute drive to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the award-winning Falls Retreat restaurant. 10 minutes drive into the heart of the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi and 15 minutes through to Paeroa or out to Waihi Beach.

There are two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other a double, large bathroom, and a kitchen with all amenities. It's a short walk to the shops, hotel and RSA....and so close to the beach! BBQ available plus all other amenities to make for a relaxing stay!

Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

Private, self-contained, cosy modern cottage on semi-rural orchard location adjacent to Katikati township. Panoramic views with small deck, BBQ & swimming pool available. Very comfortable queen sized bed & portacot on request. Sofa bed available for extra guests. Ample parking for motorhome or caravan. Breakfast food provided for the first morning of stay. Pets not allowed.
