Longforde Cottage

Welcome to Longforde, a very special, charming and beautifully furnished cottage attached to our main home but completely independent with your own access and landscaped to ensure your absolute privacy. Set on 4 acres of stunning gardens, each room has private rural views of the countryside and Tararua ranges. We are located at the end of one of Greytowns most beautiful streets, a walkable 2km into the shops and cafes. As well, we are on a popular walking and biking route to the Waiohine river.

Richcrest Farm Stay-Self contained Cabin

Richcrest Cabin is built for two people. Off the grid and eco-friendly. Set beside a small lake and totally private. Enjoy the company of New Zealand's beautiful birds, Tui, Fantail and an abundance of Kereru. The cabin provides a stunning peaceful private retreat to escape from the trappings of modern life. Double glazed, fully insulated, and an infinity gas heater for warmth. Situated on a traditional New Zealand sheep and beef hill country farm. Marked farm walks for you to enjoy.

Kererū Rest Take time amongst nature

Kererū Rest is in a semi rural position, enjoy relaxing on the deck or in the private outside beautiful bath. There is a bar fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle. Breakfast selection provided eg: muesli, bread, butter, spreads, orange juice,milk, teas and fresh plunger coffee. This may work for travellers who don't plan on spending vacation time cooking although a gas barbeque is available (see photo) Greytown is five minutes away providing boutique shopping and a variety of dining.

Relax with the calm surrounding sound of nature, river and native birdsong. Our eco cottage "The Snug" has been created with recycled materials, giving it a unique character. Some features The Snug included are a composting toilet, a small wood burner for warmth, and it overlooks a medicinal herb garden and some friendly animals see photos.

Ti Tree Rural Escape

If you need to relax and have a restorative break away then Ti Tree is the place to come. This is an unknown part of the country that has ancient geology and astounding beauty. A walk to the river mouth weather permitting and depending on tides is where you will experience 7000 year old Totara Tree stumps . There are amazing rock formations at the mouth of the Kaiwhata river also. In evening you can relax under the night sky in the private spa pool which is right outside you door.

The house for all seasons, occasions and ages. Double glazed with new thermal curtains. Heat pump and log burner in downstairs living room and heatpump in upstairs bedroom to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. The grounds are spacious and private. Great for playing games, BBQ and evening drinks on the sun-drenched deck or in front of the outdoor fireplace. Toys, board games, bikes and sports equipment are provided. Prior approval for pets is required ($20 per stay)

Wanting a relaxing break away? Look no further than this rural retreat. Situated only 10 mins from Martinborough you will find a modern 4 bedroom house with expansive rural views. Have fun swimming in the large heated outdoor pool (available November - March) or relax in the comfortable outdoor furniture. Enjoy al fresco dining and savour a glass of wine watching the beautiful sunsets. Delight in gazing at the magnificent night sky from the large spa pool.

Cosy Cabin ~outdoor bath~stars~donkeys

Our self-contained, double-glazed, fully insulated compact cabin is well appointed. It stands alone on our lifestyle property, private from our house with fabulous views to the Remutakas. There is an outdoor covered BBQ area. Relax in the ~bath~ under the stars. We have a small dog (Lucy), sweet barky Huntaway (Ruby), donkeys (Phoebe, Anna & Lily) & August (cat). All very friendly. One small fur baby allowed. Please advise when booking.

RIVERSDALE BEACH FRONT A FRAME - Welcome

This quirky beach side A frame sits right on the sand dunes. Great outdoor furniture on both sides of the house, double BBQ, fire for the winter, dishwasher, washing machine, and only steps from the beach. Perfect for families in the summer or a romantic getaway for a couple in the winter. The view from your bed upstairs is gorgy! . Sorry, not suitable for under 5's because of the spiral stairs. No parties or groups thanks.
