It is only 5 minutes from the reenactment site on Pumping Station Rd and also about 12 minutes from Liberty Mountain Resort. Other popular wedding venues nearby: Hauser Estate Winery, Adams County Winery, Lodges, Rock Creek Farm, Links. The apartment is close to everything yet in a quiet setting.

The 1920s Farmhouse on 10 wooded acres on Willoughby Run directly across the street from the Herbst Woods where the first day's infantry battle occurred on July 1st, 1863. It is hard to get much closer, with less than a 2 minute drive to the battlefield and a 4 minute drive to historic downtown Gettysburg. Other local features include Mount St. Mary's, Cunningham Falls SP, and Catoctin Mountain Park. A paddle boat and two kayaks are available.
