Chill on the cozy corner sofa while admiring the towering trees in this bright, inspiring hideaway. Spin a record, snuggle up for a movie night, or enjoy the cozy queen-bed nook with a favorite novel. Follow your culinary inspirations and cook a delicious meal with fireside dessert, or venture out for a neighborhood walk to nearby College Avenue for shopping, restaurants, and fun. Be it relaxing or entertaining, Mimi's Place offers you the best of both worlds...a peaceful getaway in one of the East Bay's favorite neighborhoods within walking distance to urban conveniences. Please note: the unit is a private guesthouse accessed up one flight of stairs. A mobile laundry service is available, but the unit does not have a washer/dryer. The space is open yet cosy and the windows look out to trees and hills in the neighborhood. It feels far removed from the city yet you are walking distance from the adorable Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. We have a full kitchen with new appliances, wi-fi, a smart TV, and plenty of built-in storage for your belongings if you are staying for a longer visit. You have access to the entire unit as it is separate from our house and located in the front of the property. I love to meet our guests, but generally we are running different directions so only see each other upon arrival and in passing. I am always available by phone though! This one of the oldest neighborhoods in Berkeley, with established trees and gorgeous walks in the nearby hills and easy access to nearby Elmwood stores. It feels far removed from city life, but Berkeley and Oakland are still within easy reach. You probably want a car (parking is very easy in our neighborhood which is not the norm in Berkeley) or plan to take Lyft. Bart is a 15 minute walk from our house, and there is a bus route that picks up at the bottom of our street. If you are visiting Cal, the bus takes you there easily.

Cozy backyard cottage in shared backyard with sunny patio for relaxing outside. Studio cottage is separate from house with a queen size bed, bathroom with shower, kitchenette and eating area. Everything you need to relax and make simple meals, including coffee and tea. One block from Solano Ave for restaurants and shopping, a few blocks walking from whole foods and more restaurants. Near Bart and one block from bus stop to SF. Hiking in Tilden Park or Wildcat canyon just 10 min drive.

Charming Private Cottage near Famous 4th Street Shops

French doors open onto the serene garden in this stylish and well appointed space. The cottage is a large, newly renovated studio located in our backyard garden. There is wifi, a television, a kitchen with a mini-fridge, two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and cookware and utensils. The bathroom shower has shampoo, conditioner and body soap for guests to enjoy. There is a queen sized bed and extra linens for the queen sized pull-out sofa bed.

You need have no contact with owners. Completely separate building with own entrance & no contact on arrival or departure. Lovely sunny room opening to a serene and private patio for outdoor relaxing. In a quiet but vibrant community. Walk to or take public transportation to UC campus, Downtown Berkeley, Ashby BART Station (easy 20 minute walk), the famous Berkeley Bowl grocery store (15 minute walk), and much more.

Painting Studio in the Trees

Located halfway up the steep Berkeley hillside in a quiet residential area. The space has amazing natural light with 4 skylights and garden facing windows. There is a patio deck with table and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors. Previously an art studio, now a simple detached cottage at the entrance of our property. Berkeley Bitty House - a little bit of home

The Berkeley Bitty House is our cozy little detached guesthouse, located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is a few minutes drive to campus and within walking distance to many landmarks. Although itty bitty, it feels luminous and private, with a large skylight and windows that overlook a private deck with hot tub. The view of the bay from the private deck is breathtaking.
