It is very private , yet Starbucks is right next door. Private entry and off street parking. This space has everything you need full kitchen, washer&dryer, queen size bed and fold out couch , plus a Play and Pack for the Littles. Walkable neighborhood , parks market and restaurants within walking distance.

Minutes from the outlet mall, a peaceful and cozy A-Frame, nestled in the trees overlooking a rippling creek. The stairs to the loft lead to a room where there is a comfortable queen-size bed and television. The downstairs area has a fully-stocked kitchen, dining area and living area with lots of windows to enjoy the view. There is also patio with a table and chairs and propane grill where you can sit and enjoy the view of the pasture and water, with beautiful trees scattered about.

For whatever brings you to Oregon, stay at Mama J’s comfortable, peaceful, safe and convenient spot. Portland is just ten miles away, the closest beaches, Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood are all about an hour, and there are numerous hikes from the forest right down the street to Silver Falls and beyond. As an interior designer, I loved creating a space that is as much an experience as a night away from home...and only 10 miles from downtown Portland! Please be advised that beginning Dec19, 2025, construction has begun on three homes behind our cottage. Work can begin at 7:00AM-4:00PM Mon-Fri. There could be noise during those hours, it's out of our control.

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

We have friendly dogs you may see outside. 30 min. to SE Portland, 45 to PDX, One hour to Mt. Hood, 40 min to waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge. Pool open June 15 through September 5th. Can accommodate a 3pm check-in all days except Tuesdays.
