Our home is located in historic Louisa County in Central Virginia on a five-acre wooded lot facing the South Anna River. Richmond is 30 minutes away and Charlottesville is less than an hour. The entire lower level of our home is used for the Airbnb. (We live in the upper level.) The decor is "homey" with some personal items. Children, pets, and smoking are not allowed. The internet is fast and cell phones work with WiFi calling. Food deliveries are not available due to our remote location.

This 2-bedroom (3 beds) 2 bath unit offers all the comforts of home including a full kitchen, dining area, game room, laundry room, covered patio and single-car garage. Outdoor parking is also available. Our Pullman Car is one of 3 converted train cars available for rentals. The car was built by Pullman Co. in 1888. Guests staying in this car have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests can also use the ponds on the property as well as the 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The converted car has a living area, full kitchen, a bedroom with two double beds, a full bath with shower and a half bath.

Unwind in the outdoor two-person cedar sauna, relax in a cedar wood burning hot tub that also doubles as a cold plunge, cook on a Pyro Tower grill and pizza oven combo (Pizza dough, sauce, cheese, and pepperonis included), enjoy the tranquil natural stone water feature, warm up by the outdoor fireplace, pollinator garden attracting butterflies/hummingbirds. Black out curtains provide privacy at night.

Come and enjoy the peaceful life that Goochland has to offer from it's trails at Hidden Rock and Leakes Mill parks or bring your canoe to the beautiful James River boat landing at Maidens. Take your own Goochland wine tour and visit Byrd Cellars, Grayhaven and Elk Island wineries, or our local Hill Top Distillery.
