This off-grid, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. The cabin itself is loaded with comfort. A full kitchen, propane refrigerator, solar powered lights and a gas fireplace/furnace offer the conveniences of home. There is an outhouse and firewood for the outdoor firepit. You will have to bring your own water for drinking, but we provide hand and dish washing water at the sink. We have coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices.

After a busy day of exploring sites, from Gooseberry State Park to Split Rock Lighthouse, all within 10-15 minutes of your home base, you can unwind with beers at Castle Danger Brewery.

Our cabin is certified as Net Zero Ready through the DOE and was designed and built by Timberlyne.

In the evening the full kitchen is a dream for a foodie, or head fifteen minutes to a brewery. Before bed put up your feet, play a game, read a book, or doze by the fireplace’s heat.

Classic, Vintage Log Cabin on 2.5 acres right on Lake Superior - a cozy step back in time! 250 ft. of private bedrock shoreline. 3 Bedrooms: 2 Queen, 1 Dbl. 3/4 bath, kitchen, and indoor wood burning fireplace. Outdoors: both gas & charcoal grills, firepit, firewood, a swing & picnic table. You'll see birds at the feeder right outside your window, plus plenty of deer and eagles right out the front window. The nightly fee is for 2 adults. There's a $10 fee/night/each additional guest.

While our cabin is conveniently located for adventure, it’s also far enough away to offer the seclusion needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin sits on 20 acres of wooded bliss with ease of access for snowmobile or ATV riders as the North Shore Trail connects to the back of our property.
