Black Cat Alley Hideaway

Relax, unwind in the peaceful Pacific Northwest. Cozy sun-filled studio apartment located in Arcata a block from Humboldt State University, and just three blocks from vibrant downtown Arcata, an interesting university town with gourmet restaurants, cafés and eclectic little shops nestled between Humboldt Bay and the redwoods. The studio apartment easily accommodates three with a comfy queen bed and full size futon.The futon is perfect for one adult or two children. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook for yourself. Furnished with a beautiful mix of antiques and unusual flea market treasures, oriental rugs, original artwork. Parking on the alley, private entrance, access to the lovely, private flower-filled garden. Arcata's Redwood Park has extensive trails through the big trees a short walk away, just a few blocks from the apartment. Ocean beaches are a ten-minute drive. Cable TV, dvds old school vinyl record player and records, Ethernet Internet connection. No minimum stay, no cleaning or service fees. Smoking is allowed, but only in the garden. This large 14X20 room plus bathroom is for non-smoking guests. Windows with wooded views and a private entrance. Also a queen size Tempur-pedic mattress, WiFi, microwave oven (behind a cabinet door), electric tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig, refrigerator, hot plate, bar sink, large TV (with over 250 channels), DVD player, and off street parking. Nothing high-end here (except the mattress) but very comfy, clean, and private. Also the bathroom has it's own on-demand water heater (not shared).

King Salmon beach and Gill's by the bay restaurant is less than a 5 minute drive.

With a location walking distance to St. Joseph's Hospital, this is the perfect spot for traveling staff or someone visiting a patient. Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Enjoy your stay on the scenic North Coast at this one-of-a-kind property! Located right in the heart of Old Town Eureka, this historic stay has been updated with all the modern amenities yet holds true to its original 1882 charm. The Penthouse is centrally located with easy access to US-101 and just steps from some of the best local restaurants, bars and shops in Humboldt County.
