A central apartment in the beautiful fishermen village of Ólafsfjörður. Just opposite you find a grocery store and a nice café which offers a lovely breakfast or brunch on weekends. The surrounding with its breath taking mountain view and aurora borealis during winter months makes it the perfect place to enjoy a typical Icelandic village, be close to nature and to relax and recharge your batteries. The apartment is on ground floor with veranda in front. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful yet close to the city center and the swimming pool. The biggest shopping mall in Akureyri is only few minutes away. At a walking distance, is a great viewpoint for enjoying the midnight sun. Skiing and hiking area ten minutes away. Very cozy atmosphere for two people with two comfortable single beds or one double bed, and a crib upon request. Third guest uses a sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Smiðjan, the little old house by the sea

'Smiðjan' the Smithy has been lovingly restored focusing on original aesthetics and comfort. It is situated at the edge of a small industrial area where you can enjoy absolute privacy and not worry about neighbours. The large attic windows provide a perfect platform to view the northern lights and stunning views. Smiðjan is almost a 100 year old house on the shores of the little fishing village Dalvík in the north, with views of spectacular mountains and valleys where hiking is at your doorstep

Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km. drive from Reykjavik City Center. Many points of interest are within easy reach like the Golden Circle, 2 min.

Cottage in a beautiful valley

This nice cottage is situated in the middle of a beautiful valley, with no neighbors disturbing you. You have a sea view to the north. A stream with waterfalls and rapids down through the valley. The hut is also a good base for skitouring and moutain hiking (many trails in the area) and horse riding. We offer horse riding for additonal fee. We can ride a calm tour with beginners or a bit faster with more experienced riders. Horse riding is mostly available from May till September.

Our property is centrally located to explore the natural wonders of the south. About 50 km east of Vik and 30 km west of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. 7.5 km from the ring road no 1. Most nature attractions in central south Iceland are within 95 minute drive from us. It is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Iceland on 140 hectares of land, in between the two big glaciers in the south Vatnajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. Our place is accessible by any car in normal summer conditions.
