Hello and welcome to Bluebird Cottage. We are located 1 mile up a dirt road in the Isabella Highlands overlooking Lake Isabella. Our road is bumpy in and steep in areas, but we have never had a guest not make it up here. We are approximately a 3 hour Drive to Sequoia National Park. We are a 2 hour drive from Death Valley National Park. We are a 4 hour drive from Yosemite. We are 3 hr drive from Los Angeles. Bluebird Cottage is a cozy tiny home with a private outdoor space. Incredible views!

Lake just down the road, river 1/2 mile away and mountains are great any time of year. Walking distance to downtown Kernville. Kern River Brewing 1 mile away. Soak up the history of Kernville Ranch in the all natural cedar hot tub after a day on the river, watch the horses frolic in front of pink and purple mountains. Plunge into or practice your casting in our private river (Runs April through December). Originally built in the 1890s. Nestled in over 14 acres of water meadow. There is an attached but separate wing that is another listing. Two bedrooms upstairs, a large living room, loo & kitchen downstairs. no checkout chores.

OPEN FOR SPRING-Cabin built in 1940, originally bunkhouse for local lumber mill. At 6000 feet in the tall trees of Sequoia National Forest. Near ski resort, Kern river(rafting, fishing), hot springs, Lake Isabella, Trail of the Giants. Alta Sierra is dense neighborhood of cabins with neighbors close by. TWO GUESTS ONLY , NO PARTIES, NO PETS! Comfy king bed, lovely outdoor bathtub. NO WIFI. Only 1 bar cell svs-plus record player/TV/videos/books/games. Heavy snow possible!
