Charming house in the countryside only 3,5 km from the village of Egilsstaðir. The house is well situated for those who want to visit the small and beautiful fjords in east Iceland. The house is equpped with geothermal heating system and is warm and nice in cold weather . Secluded cozy cabin that offers incredible views and a private waterfall. The cabin has 5 beds and two sofa beds. Included with the stay is private access to 3000 acres of beautiful nature to enjoy. A 4x4 car is recommended but not necessary if you are willing to walk the last 100 meters. Important: it is off grid and so it has very limited electricity and only cold running water. There is gas heating, gas grilling and a stove available. IMPORTANT FOR WINTER BOOKINGS: 4x4 car is required

Óbót 1. — 河畔小屋

Óbót is a small cabin (13.5 square meters) and has accommodations just outside Egilsstaðir and has a great riverside view. The cabin has two single beds, private bathroom and free WiFi. The facilities are extremely suitable for two people. A variety of hiking trails are nearby and guests are allowed to go fishing for free in the river called Rangá. The nearest airport is Egilsstaðir Airport, 8 km from the cabin location.

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.
