Its remote location, 6 minutes drive above the town of Oregon House, is an ideal spot for a getaway. With the entire apartment to yourself it can be a perfect retreat, a romantic weekend, or a quiet work/study space. A place to relax, meditate, read and feel a world away from everyday concerns. No same day reservations accepted.

This is a perfect place to refresh in the magic of the Coastal Redwoods. Music fills most nights either from the Felton Music Hall or from the chorus of frogs. And wake up in the mornings to the mist in the trees when the fog rolls in.

The wildflowers in our Sierras are absolutely breathtaking right now! Our apartment is located under our main house, with its own keyless private entrance. You'll enjoy a quiet and peaceful setting among tall pines, with wildlife abound. Amador County is rich in gold mining history, and has many charming gold rush towns for you to visit. If your travel journeys include both Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, we are conveniently located between the two ( 2 1/2 hours from Yosemite, and 1 1/2 from Tahoe)

Recharge in the Woods to the Sound of Our Creek

We welcome guests to experience our peaceful, wooded 30 acre property located in the foothills of Nevada County. Witness and listen to the sounds of running water as you recharge; lazing at our creek, hiking through the property, on the guest deck overlooking our natural setting or soaking in the hot tub as you enjoy the wonderful nightly sunsets and evening stars. Although you experience the sense of being completely isolated, you will be within 5 miles of 12 eateries and a grocery market.

Spend time among the redwoods near the fish pond in our elegant modern retreat with many artistic custom elements. Let the tension from the road melt away in our hot tub and spa like rain shower, then relax on our comfortable California King beds. Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. **Please keep voices low out of consideration for the neighbors.**

Cottage by the Sea

Enjoy a cozy, warm inviting studio and be gently rocked to sleep by the sound of the ocean waves. A short walk to the beach and lagoon. The Cottage is located across the street from the ocean, and surrounded by the forest. Quiet and private space to relax and unwind. Enjoy the view of the snow capped Sierras while soaking in the hot tub, reading on the private porch, or sitting next to the cozy fireplace indoors. Private, secluded Guest Suite with private entrance. A new kitchenette has been added for convenient cooking. Play a game of shuffleboard or sip a glass of wine while sitting by the outdoor fire pit. Our home is nestled under a canopy of conifers next door to the Tahoe National Forest and only a 5 minutes drive to downtown Nevada City.

Redwood Cottage & Hot Tub

Enjoy this peaceful redwood retreat tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This small private cottage comes with a private hot tub, outdoor shower, propane fire pit and hammock. You'll be 10 minutes to downtown Felton and 25 minutes to Santa Cruz. The cottage is on a shared property and next door to the main house. Please note there is no indoor shower (outdoor only). Although 4 wheel is needed, THE ROAD IS RURAL, NARROW AND STEEP. Ideal for confident drivers. Permit #211304

Sit on 1 of 3 decks to enjoy the scenic views and watch the wildlife. Walk in the river, go fishing, pan for gold. The lower deck on the river has a hammock & 2 person swing. There are 2 cooking stations on 2 separate decks. Visit Silver lake, Kirkwood, Big Trees Nat. Park or Lake Tahoe. Go wine tasting, antiquing or hiking.

Open to nightly rentals! Close to The Golden Gate Bridge and Muir Woods in magical Mill Valley. 400 sq ft + large deck of a well- appointed apmt in Tam Valley and with stunning view. Includes bedroom (king) with french doors, living room with pullout couch, a covered deck, and cooking area (see notes). Unwind when you arrive with a good book from our library and relax on the deck overlooking the many rolling hills of our breathtaking and wild neighborhood. :)
