The Captain Bagley room is located in the beautifully restored Bliss Farm Inn in Durham, Maine. Built in 1772, this room is named for O. Israel Bagley, the original builder of the house and one of the first settler's of our town. This massive antique Victorian is featuring amenities such as large kitchen, many shared living rooms, stained glass, nice linens, house bikes, beach gear, etc. The house is within a short stroll to the secluded Willard beach featuring views of 2 Maine lighthouses and many islands. Bug light park is also within walking distance to the house. Portland downtown and Old Port are only 3 miles away, and the famous Greenbelt trail for walking and biking is across the street, as is the local bus stop.

Private entrance with patio. A nicely appointed suite with a luxury queen bed. Skip the parking hunt. Leave your car here and enjoy a scenic 10-minute walk to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way. Restaurants, shops, trolleys, beach caddy are all nearby. Downtown is a 25-minute walk, and Beach is 30 minutes.

This is one of the clearest lakes in the region It is within an hour of the mountains, and the ocean - a perfect location. It is a quiet neighborhood with amazing stars at night.

History Steps from the Beach

If you’re looking for more space and amenities than staying in a hotel room, but still want the cleanliness and professionalism you’d expect from one, then you may enjoy staying here. Our spacious 3 room, 1,200 square foot historic (c. 1670) one bedroom apartment for two guests has exposed beams, wide pine floors, full bath, kitchenette, and is just a short walk to Long Sands Beach or a short drive to York Beach, York Harbor, or York Village.

Suspend yourself in time and tide in the Scarborough marsh or the beaches from Pine Point to Portland Head Light. Equidistant to the Spurwink and the Nonesuch Rivers. Just minutes from the bridge into Portland. Easy access to the highway and the airport. I have a cape style house with plenty of parking. Large fenced in backyard for your dog and a picnic table for your meals. I can not allow access to my living space at this time.
