Apartment in a stone house with garden. The perfect location if you want to get away from the busy towns around the lake and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Short driving distance to discover Lake Como + Lake Lugano. The pedestrian old town of the village is very traditional, and the short and easy walks give stunning views of Lake Como. Plenty of hikes for all sort of difficulty. This stone building was an ancient barn, restored respecting the original forms and materials. Directly outside the living area there is the private garden that we have filled with many varieties of flowers. It is wonderful in the morning: the sun rise right in front, and the stone table in the garden is a perfect set for breakfast! Bedroom with a double bed, and on request we provide a baby bed (without charge). Bathroom with shower + hairdryer. Laundry with sink, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Living area has a lovely fireplace, perfect in the autumn evenings (we provide firewood) !! Open-plan kitchen with cooker, fridge, electric oven, microwave, toaster. TV, WiFi. In the garden table, chairs, deckchairs, sunny umbrella.

Absolutely charming place in a perfect location for people who want to hike and be both in nature and close by to pristine Lake Como. Lucia prepared everything absolutely perfect. Adviced us regarding the hiking trails and cultural heritage of the region. We had amazing time at her cozy place. Thank you!
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez Lucia qui nous a très bien accueillis dans son joli appartement décoré avec goût, très propre, confortable et dans un bel environnement. Lucia nous a donné beaucoup d'informations au sujet des sites à découvrir et elle met à disposition beaucoup de documentations en plusieurs langues. Lucia et son mari sont des hôtes remarquables.
Lucia ist supernett und herzlich, sie hat uns mit vielen Infos versorgt und war stets erreichbar. Die Wohnung war eine der saubersten Fewos, die wir je hatten, gut zum Wohlfühlen. Der Garten ist wunderschön uns sehr gepflegt und war unser Hauptaufenthaltsort. Grazie Lucia, alla prossima!
Breglia is a wonderful medieval village situated about 550 m above the Lago di Como. Getting there from Menaggio, following a winding road takes about 15 min by car. There is also a public bus connection. In Breglia, there is one restaurant, the Albergo Breglia. There is no shop and no bakery. It is possible to get breakfast in the Albergo. Lucia's apartment is situated in the ground floor. It is very clean and looks exactly like on the photos. A small garden with a stone table belongs to the apartment. Lucia has really wonderful flowers in the garden and keeps them in an excellent condition. Lucia's location gets sun mainly in the morning hours. Beginning of June, it still could get a little coolish in the evenings. Lucia is a very responsive and extraordinarily kind host. She readily shares numerous tips regarding possible activities and keeps lots of information material (including self painted local maps) in the apartment. We had a wonderful time there. I can't recommend this place place high enough, and Lucia's welcoming hospitality has been beyond any expectations!! I'm so greatfull for everythingLucia did for us to feel like home : we were greeted with umbrella on a rainy check in and she turned on the heating (despite it was end of heating season) just gor us and a baby, which I think speaks of her thoughtfulness and great care. Lucia is just amazing host , very helpful, responsive, left clear instructions for anything we may need, providing LOATS of information on the surrounding area and things to do. There is literally itinary ready for you for every day depending on your interests, she's got it all ready , layed out and marked on the map. This has made our holidays so much easier and more productive than it would have been (we did have any ideas what we can do with 1 year old when we arrived, so it was super-life-saver) . We loved our coffee in the morning sun looking out to the mountains incredible views & pretty garden.

Quiet, comfortable base to explore the area, Breglia (small village over Menaggio) is not affected by tourism but at few minutes by car from the most famous lake places as Bellagio. The village offers beautiful views, green for a refreshingly peaceful and restorative stay. Walking through the village you will discover picturesque corners of old.
Good place for keen walkers: from Breglia start numerous hiking for all levels of difficulty. Some routes slide into the woods and reach old lake villages, others rising on mountain above the town, with stunning views of Lake Como, Lake Lugano and the Alps. In the apartment you will find all sorts of information for the discovery of our territory: maps, guides, tips.
Breglia is bus served (line C13 Menaggio-Breglia), but car is recomended.
At 50 metres from the house there is a good restaurant/pizzeria/bar (Albergo Breglia) where is possible to have breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The nearest grocery store is in Calveseglio, 2km from Breglia: closed on Sunday and Monday afternoon. In Calveseglio there is also a good pizzeria/trattoria: "La Cupera".
Laundry washer-dryer coin-operated self-service Loveno, 4km from Breglia.
Menaggio (6-7km from Breglia) is an important center where you will find all kinds of services, including the piers for unforgettable trips on the lake (public service, day ticket € 15).

I am Lucia, I was born and still live on the shores of Lake Como:-) Breglia, a small medieval village placed like a nest on the heights of the lake, is the land of my grand-parents: a green oasis where walk among ancient stone paths enjoying extraordinary views. I am a local historian, I have worked in tourism and I rent my houses in Breglia since 2009.
