Claudia and Ben have a wonderful little studio in a very accessible location. We never found it too difficult getting around to all the major places from this stay. With access to the highways nearby, it makes it easy to get around. Street parking can be a little annoying if the entire block is already parked on, but for the most part we were able to get a space in front of the house. As part of a duplex, the walls aren't too thick but you kind of tune out or don't hear next door after a while anyway. The listing is good for pets, but we do recommend for cats more than dogs. Only because we had a run-in with a dogs across the street and ours got attacked. The rest of the neighborhood has also had issues with those same aggressive dogs in the past, so just be wary if bringing a pooch. The space itself was quite clean and stocked with a "starter pack" of things to get you through the first couple of weeks of your stay. After that, you will need to purchase your own. Luckily though, there are a couple markets and things down the block and a charming little café with awesome coffee literally around the corner. Park trail access is also a block or so away but with all of it, be ready to walk up and down hills. The hills also become normal after the initial work as well. Claudia was always quick to answer any questions or our messages, which we really appreciated.

Super cute space in a great location with LOTS of character and the nicest hosts! It’s not a true one bedroom, with the bedroom area partitioned with curtains, but we had no issues working from home with two people. Claudia and Ben replaced the router while we were there and the wifi is now super speedy (250 Mbs download). We loved the neighborhood and how accessible Elysian park was. It was also a great location to explore the rest of LA! Thank you Claudia and Ben for letting us stay in the handlebar hideaway!

Claudia’s place is lovely, tucked into a quiet area near Echo Park. The neighborhood is great for walking, and Elysian Park is a short 5-minute walk away. Parking is easy on the street, and everything the east side has to offer is just a quick drive. The apartment has everything you need for a home away from home—full kitchen, comfy bed, laundry, desk space. And the crowned jewel: a porch swing, perfect for coffee in the morning. Claudia and Ben are amazing hosts and are there to help with anything you might need. Definitely planning to stay again!
