We had trouble with a few items and Misty Ann was super responsive. She sent a great handyman over who fixed everything up, even going so far as to replace the garbage disposal. The place is clean and well-stocked and only a five minute walk from the beach. It is also only a few miles away from a Safeway, Whole Foods, Target, Down to Earth, Walgreens and a load of other stores and inexpensive restaurants. The house was the perfect size for our family of four. It is a little dark and dingy though, and is definitely showing its age. The beds are not super comfortable. We did not use the pool - although it was clean right after the pool guy came to clean it, it filled up with leaves again right away.

The home is in a beautiful neighborhood, close to Kailua beach. The walk is about 6-8 minutes up the street - the house does not have a direct path although the pictures may seem like it. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. As stated in other reviews (even from years ago), the house could definitely use updating. We definitely enjoyed the pool, but the plaster needs a lot of repair. There are some big cracks in the flooring. Even small things, like a broken toaster and broken tv remotes (which didn’t work), were a little frustrating considering the price we paid to stay in the home. The original listing stated that beach accessories (including umbrella) were provided. But it was not, and we were a little disappointed by that as well. The beds were very comfortable but the curtains are very sheer in the bedrooms and don’t give much privacy. The AC worked great and kept us comfortable. Overall, our family had plenty of room and we enjoyed the home and the island!

Our family had a great time! The house had a nice layout, with full bathrooms attached to each bedroom. You can't actually see the beach from the house, but it was a quick 5 mins walk to the ocean. We grilled some steaks and shrimp poolside, played some music, and had a wonderful time. The host responded very quickly to inquiries, and we would definitely work with her again.

This house had a really great and lots of space for our group of 6 + a baby. The kitchen is large, as are two of the bedrooms. The garden space in the backyard is deceptively large and the pool and grill are great features. The beach was an easy 5 min walk away and it was utilized but quiet, and beautiful. The beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas were well used but still perfect for us to use and a nice touch of hospitality. The house has some rough edges and is very worn in parts, (stains and tears in one bedroom's carpet, a large crack in the tile in the living room, some insects, kitchen drawers are hard to open and seemed rotted out in hidden away parts), but it was a pleasant stay for my family in a safe and beautiful neighborhood.

misty Ann was always quick to respond, she surprised us with a wonderful gift basket and there were plenty of toys for the kids to play on the beach. Too bad weather was not nice enough to be able to use the swimming pool, looked like so much fun. Really nice and spacious place.
