We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stables. The views over the lake and the mountains are fantastic. Enjoying the views from the living room, the garden and the master bedroom is such a treat. The master bedroom is very nice. We hired a motor boat from Jonathan and enjoyed a boat trip on Coniston Water. We stayed for only 2 nights and we didn't want to leave. One morning we had breakfast in Swallows & Amazons cafe, it was very good, the cafe is very cosy. The whole place is just very nice. The garden is shared with the other self-catering properties (on the right and on the left front the Stables), but it didn't bother us. In the evenings we enjoyed watching sunsets over the lake from the garden. We would love to come back and have already recommended this place to my friends

We had an amazing time at the Stables cottage. The surroundings and views were absolutely gorgeous, and the cottage itself was great - the pictures don’t do it justice! Jonathon was a fantastic host, always really responsive and helpful, and the other staff were also so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. If (when) we’re back in Coniston, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else

We had a very resting weekend with family. The place is surrounded by magnificent scenery. We got everything we need and felt like home . The place is immaculate and well equipped. We will come back in summer again.
