An amazing oasis full of peace and beauty! We’ll be back again to enjoy the trails, wildlife, and views. Special thanks to the hosts for the personal touches and even building a fire for us to enjoy. You can tell the hosts love what they do and are proud of their property. A true host. Not just someone with a spare house looking for an extra paycheck. A truly wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our family time staying in the Green Jay cabin. The cottage was full of rustic charm but very tidy. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of pillows and linens. The property around the 3 cottages is well laid out and has all the amenities you could want outdoors in the country. During the day we spent our time birdwatching and visiting on the large porch overlooking the bird feeders. In the evenings we made great use of the grill and fire pit. This well cared for Texas property is expansive. We hiked, fished, explored the land and bird watched. We even found a few lizards and snakes- what a delight! Claire and Wilfred were beyond kind, friendly and attentive. They graciously let us use the RV hookups a short walk from the cottage to charge our EV. The kids enjoyed feeding the donkeys daily with the provided food. We felt right at home on this beautiful land and hope to return one day. Thanks Claire and Wilfred for sharing your bit of Texas.

This place is an absolute gem! We stumbled upon it online, looking for a midway stopping point between Houston & S Padre Island/Brownsville. The property is absolutely lovely, with wildflowers, ponds, natural vistas & shade trees. The miniature donkeys roam freely & visited our cottage yard several times where my kids fed them carrots. There are all kinds of birds you can watch right from your porch. And the cottage was utterly charming, well stocked & comfortable. The owners are great hosts with excellent communication. I’d stay again in a heartbeat - it’s been my favorite part iof our 2 weeks in Texas

This place is an awesome retreat. The hosts are great and the surroundings amazing. if you like birds and flowers this is an extra bonus on top of very comfortable accommodations.
